Carboxymethyl Starch (CMS)

Product Name: Carboxymethyl Starch (CMS)

Property

Sodium carboxymethyl starch (CMS-Na), also known as carboxymethyl starch, is an anionic starch ether, an electrolyte that can be dissolved in cold water. The carboxymethyl starch ether was made in 1924 and industrialized production in 1940. It is a kind of modified starch, belonging to ether starch, and a water-soluble anionic polymer compound. It is odorless, non-toxic, resistant to mildew, and easily soluble in water when the degree of substitution is greater than 0.2.
